Attorney General Stumbo Announces Additional Hanna Montana Tickets To Be Made Available

Attorney General Greg Stumbo is pleased to announce that approximately 4,000 additional tickets will be made available for the December 12 Hannah Montana show at Rupp Arena in Lexington. This additional release of tickets by the promoter is made possible now that the final staging and seat configurations for the concert have been determined.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public at noon on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 through Ticketmaster. Tickets will be made available through the Ticketmaster phone line (859) 281-6644 or their internet site www.ticketmaster.com only. Tickets are not available at the box office or at other Ticketmaster outlets. All tickets will be available for pick up at the Rupp Arena ticket office Will Call Window the day of the show. Tickets must be claimed by the person purchasing the tickets who must present a photo ID and the credit card used to purchase the tickets. Additional restrictions to limit purchases by brokers are being considered. Any additional details about the sale will be released as they are finalized. Tickets will be limited to 4 tickets per customer.

Stumbo commended the promoter and Ticketmaster saying “We’re pleased that the promoter and Ticketmaster have taken steps to ensure that these tickets will be sold directly to fans and not scalpers. By requiring purchasers to appear at the box office and provide credit card and photo ID, it dramatically enhances the opportunity for real Hannah Montana fans to purchase these tickets directly from authorized sources and without having to go through resellers and the risk of potentially fraudulent or undelivered tickets.”

Tickets to the December 12 Hannah Montana Best of Both Worlds show were initially made available to the public on September 15 and sold out in minutes. Attorney General Stumbo and other Attorneys General have been working in conjunction with the promoter and Ticketmaster to address concerns about the ticket distribution process. Additional tickets customarily are made available for sale after concert promoters finalize stage configuration designs for each venue hosting the concert. Once finalized, promoters and venue operators can judge sight lines and know exactly which seats will be available for sale. In this case, due to the huge popularity of Hannah Montana, the promoters and Ticketmaster have taken the added step of requiring purchasers to pick up their tickets at the box office on the day of the show.

The Attorney General also acknowledged both the promoter and Ticketmaster for providing his office with this information so that consumers seeking to purchase tickets would know about the upcoming release.

Disney Interactive Studios recently introduced two new video games based on one of the most popular Disney Channel television shows; the new video games include “Hannah Montana: Music Jam” on Nintendo DS and “Hannah Montana Spotlight World Tour” on Nintendo Wii home video game system.

“Hannah Montana: Music Jam” for Nintendo DS is reported to define the meaning of musical creativity in video games, the main character Hannah Montana, learns how to play musical instruments to compete against her opponent ,Savannah Star.

“Hannah Montana: Spotlight World Tour” for Wii gives fans the chance to dance alongside Hannah Montana at selected concerts around the world, including Rome and Sydney.

Hannah Montana’s Music Jam video game is currently in stores, and her Spotlight World tour video game will be released on November 13, 2007.

Hannah Montana is currently on tour with the Jonas Brothers.

Best of Both Worlds in Three D??!!!
